So, why do I have a tip jar? Well, the answer’s pretty simple, really: I need the cash.
Seriously, I’m setting out on an odyssey of accomplishing my lifelong goal of being a full-time writer, and while I’m excited about the prospect, the bills remain and I need to replace a full-time job’s worth of income. This blog is a significant part of my strategy; it needs to contribute to keeping the mortgage paid and the kids fed.
And so, if you find anything of value here, please don’t hesitate to toss in a few bucks if you can afford it. I believe in voluntary trade, free people giving value for value, and not charity–that means, only contribute if I’ve helped you out in some way, even if it’s just entertaining you for a few minutes.
